Fiddle Maker - Sam Stevenson

In memory of Fiddle Maker - Sam Stevenson, of Broughshane Co. Antrim, who was a well respected Fiddle Maker & Fiddle Player. Sam was a founder member of the Derry & Antrim Fiddlers Association & had a great fondness for the fiddle playing of Shetland Fiddler Willie Hunter, especially his playing of Slow Airs.

Over the years Sam repaired many of my students Fiddles & Bows, he was always easy to pay & always did a first class job.

The tunes I composed in memory of Sam & play here are the Hornpipe 'Sam Stevenson's', the Strathspey The Derry & Antrim Fiddlers' & the Reel 'The Braid Burn'.
