Welcome to 'Scad the Beggars'

My name is Dick Glasgow and as founding member of North Antrim group Scad the Beggars I'd like to welcome you to our website.

We are a 6 piece group, based in North Antrim, who enjoy playing the Traditional Music and Song of Ulster, Scotland, Ireland and Northumberland.We play a wide variety of instruments, including: Northumbrian Smallpipes, Fifes, Whistles, Fiddle, Mandolin,
English Concertina, Piano Accordion, Oboe, Harp, Nyckelharpa, Guitar and the Hammered Dulcimer

We are happy to provide background music for your Wedding Drinks Reception & we also enjoy being asked to perform our brand of traditional music & song from North Antrim for a variety of formal & informal concert formats.

If you'd like to hear us play, you're also welcome to join us at either of our weekly sessions, every Saturday night in the Bushmills Inn & every Thursday night in the Diamond Bar, Ballymoney.

Incidentally, for the curious amongst you, the name Scad the Beggars is that of a local delicacy here - Oatmeal fried in Bacon Fat.
